Mondrian Fan Club dedicated to Derek Jarman + Keith Collins
David Medalla (b. Philippines) and Adam Nankervis (b. Australia) perform Part II of a performance initiated at Project Space Pilipinas (PSP) in the rice fields terrace at the perimeter of the sacred Mount Banahaw, Lucban, Philippines entitled ‘SIGNALS IN THE SKY’. The artists canvassed the horizon in blocks of primary colours – red, yellow and blue. Through a communal act of participation, the outlines of letters were formed on the bodies, in semaphoric positions of three male paticipants, by spraying their outlines in the triptych of primary coloured skies. The field of blue remained untouched on Lucban`s horizon, all in homage to Piet Mondrian.
BLUE HORIZONS is a continuum of this action where the blue plain is ritually worked upon, where participants are invited to join the artists in the creation of BLUE HORIZONS, dedicated to Keith Collins and Derek Jarman, in creating a new horizon of blue, to blue`s beyond, a double helix of blue in mirrored infinity.
Free Admission. To register for the event, visit http://bit.ly/AAGBlueHorizons
